Cookies
In short: we set no cookies of our own and use no analytics, tracking or marketing techniques. The exception is a technically necessary security cookie our hosting provider may set to defend against attacks. That is why you see no consent banner here.
Which cookies does fioxx.com set?
FIOXX itself sets none. The website is delivered statically and needs no cookies to function. No analytics, statistics, tracking or advertising cookies are used and no third-party content (fonts, videos, maps, social media plugins) that could set cookies is embedded. In individual cases our hosting provider may set a cookie to defend against automated attacks. More on that below.
Local storage in the browser
The FIOXX Scan and the contact form use your browser’s session storage to hold intermediate states of the scan and the origin of the visit (path of the landing page, referrer without search parameters, the three UTM campaign parameters) during one visit. This data only leaves your browser if you submit the contact form. The browser clears session storage when the session ends; if it later restores a session, the values may be available again. You can delete them at any time through your browser settings. These are not cookies; recognition across several visits is therefore not possible.
Technically necessary security cookies from the hosting provider
Our website is delivered through Cloudflare. To defend against attacks, Cloudflare may in individual cases set a technically necessary security cookie (for example __cf_bm with a validity of under an hour). Such cookies serve only the security and stability of the website, contain no profile data and require no consent under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG. Further information is in the privacy policy.
Why no cookie banner?
A consent banner is required when information is stored on or read from your device that is not necessary for the service you requested. None of that applies here: we set no cookies of our own, the security cookie from our hosting provider serves to defend against attacks, and session storage only holds the intermediate states and origin details described above for the duration of your visit. A banner would therefore have no function. Should we use analytics or marketing tools in future, we will introduce a genuine consent solution first and update this page and the privacy policy.
